The doors opened Congress to honor the victims of terrorism in a ceremony headed by the kings of Spain and that symbolized the unanimity of the parliamentary forces at the time to recognize these victims.

King Juan Carlos identified the victims of terrorism as a “symbol of democracy,” Efe reported.

The Congress decided that from now on June 27 will mark the Day of Victims of Terrorism, coinciding with the 1960 bombing that killed the girl of 22 months, Begoña Urroz, San Sebastian and recent research attributed ETA.

In 50 years of murder, the terrorist group has killed more than 800 people and last victim was the French policeman Jean-Serge Nerin, killed in a shootout with members of ETA on March 16.

ETA has killed soldiers, civil guards, police, politicians, judges and hundreds of ordinary people in a terrorist spiral, half a century later and in full democracy, is still ongoing.
