Well, it is a very interesting question as it is a word that it is rarely used in daily life. Klonopin is also called Clonazepam. It belongs to the benzodiazepine family of addictive drugs. Then , it may affect chemicals in the brain that may become unbalanced and cause anxiety. This is a factor of stress too. Usually ,people used it in order to control seizures or panic disorders. Still, we have to know when and how to use it.For instance, you can not use Klonopin when you have acute liver disease or when you become allergic to clonazepam or other benzodiazepines such as Xanax, Librium, Valium), or Serax. Moreover it represents a great danger for unborn babies , leading to breathing problems. Before using Klonopin ask the doctor and see if it is ok.

And ‘the hypothesis of a research university of Illinois, directed by Professor Janice Bahr and published in “Gynecologic Oncology”.
The team of Professor Bahr has worked with chickens, as these are the only animals affected by the form of cancer in question.
After five years of experimentation, scholars argue that a diet enriched with linseed reduces the severity of the tumor and increases the chances of survival. That’s because, experts say, linseed offer large doses of alpha-linolenic acid, a polyunsaturated fatty acid family of omega-3.
Among other things, previous research showed that breasts flax slow down (or even stop completely) the formation of tumors of the colon, breast, skin and lungs.
So, next step group of Illinois will test the effectiveness of flaxseed on human volunteers suffering from ovarian cancer.
A disorder that many try to fight, but that often makes it useless attempts.

Yet the therapeutic strategies developed against the pain caused by cervical are proving very interesting. In particular, recently emerging data increasingly positive regarding the applications made with low laser intensity. The laser would be able to ensure that patients derive particular benefit effect against inflammation exerted on the neck muscles. Besides, recent investigations in this field seem to have confirmed the validity of the use of lasers in the treatment of cervical.

Specifically, analysis was performed that took into account 16 studies over time have involved over 800 people. The findings were published in “Lancet” and gave the opportunity to show how the laser can be significantly superior to placebo, which in this case consisted of a beam of light is not able to determine specific effects in favor patients.

The benefits of laser seem to be going in a positive direction both for the treatment of acute pain than chronic. The results also seem to be encouraged in terms of durability of benefit found, in some cases even exceed five months.

To identify the building blocks of DNA associated with disc degeneration, considered the main culprit of chronic low back pain, the European Commission promotes and finances the project “Genodisc” a big-studio which is also involved with the Italy IRCCS Orthopaedic Galeazzi, Milan, along with 9 other European research centers, coordinated by the University of Oxford in the UK.
The objective of Genodisc has shed light on all the possible causes-genetic, environmental, physical and mechanical properties that can result in degeneration of the intervertebral disc, causing back pain or other diseases.
Are known problems Galeazzi Institute, which annually assists about 10 000 patients with back problems. For about 1500 you need surgery, but in most cases you can opt for rehabilitation. With the highest number of spine surgery, such as national reference center for these disorders, the IRCCS Milan came in pink institutions involved in Genodisc.
The study includes the recruitment of patients with back problems and collecting their DNA through a blood test. Among the causes of disc degeneration, in fact, experts now consider a certain genetic component, although the time has not yet been defined exactly: “The project started two years ago, has already resulted in recruitment of 150 volunteer patients with from various causes of disc degeneration, “explains Mark Brayda-Brown, Head of the Spinal Surgery III Galeazzi.
Another important aspect of this study concerns the new imaging techniques, such as special MRI called “perfusion”, which allows to study the modalities and timing of penetration of nutrients in the disk, as known, is a structure without blood vessels which receives its nourishment only bone of the vertebrae.
The DNA collected in these patients will be analyzed in the next two years at the Genome Center in Helsinki, the hope is to arrive in a few years the identification of specific gene sites related to the degeneration of the disc with the deducible consequences on prevention and early treatment of disc degeneration.

Recently two articles have been devoted to patients treated with cannabis. Here we give account of the former scenario is a 33 year old male fell from a height of eight meters reporting a serious polytrauma. Fractured in fact the sixth cervical vertebra, skull, left arm, hip and femur with multiple herniations. Was therefore submitted to various surgical procedures, but it was greatly weakened. Had a disability of 75% in the upper body due to cervical fracture and was unable to read or computer work. The skull fracture caused him headaches and ringing. Presented spasms and pain in the arm with a wrist pain constantly 8 on a scale from 0 to 10 points, and burning sensations, but both ice and hammering. He had difficulty working with his left hand. Because of spinal cord injury suffered back spasms bilateral. Also reported moderate left hip pain. Were treated with physical therapy for two years, and had taken a long series of drugs including: Artrotec, Flexeril, ketorolac, Tylenol with codeine, Naprosyn, Percocet, gabapentin, Marinol (THC, the active ingredient that is most important cannabis but produced synthetically), Lyrica, Supradol, oxycodin and Oxycontin, as well Doxepin, Imovane, Cipralex, trazodone, Elavil, Efexor. Thus a wide range of anti-inflammatory analgesics, including opioids and a synthetic cannabinoid, anticonvulsants and antidepressants. Despite all this had not had satisfactory pain relief, which was constantly on a level of 5 to 10, and reported that drugs had become a “living dead”, unable to work and make a normal life.
The subject, a Canadian, became a member of the Green Cross Society of British Columbia, an association that has federal permission to distribute cannabis for medicinal purposes. The Association Cannabis delivery to its members in the form of the natural product. The case report presented had been chosen for the severity of his condition associated with his continued presence in the Society, which will allow clinical monitoring daily. The case described, according to the authors, however, was very similar to other four followed the same year, with similar results.
The patient took a total of 10 grams of cannabis per day, corresponding to an average of 420-500 mg of THC, 40-80 mg of CBD (cannabidiol) and 20-60 mg of CBN (cannabinol). There was a significant reduction in pain scores accompanied by an improvement in sleep, muscle spasms and quality of life. Currently, though not totally free from pain, the patient is able to do at least part of his volunteer work, go to the gym and live a life that resembles a normal life. In addition to cannabis only takes supplements, and when painful crises tincture of cannabis use (10 mg of THC and CBD 2 mg per drop), 15-25 drops as needed, reducing the severe pain in seconds. Also uses the vaporizer Volcano, 2-4 g per day. Medical examinations showed that all liver functions are normal.
According to the authors, possible side effects of medical cannabis are to be related to the strain has not corrected the patient’s symptoms, for example, if a patient has pain accompanied by anxiety and uses a strain with high and low concentrations of CBD and CBN THC, may have increased anxiety with little effect on pain. Moreover, according to the authors, people of Celtic origin (Scottish, Irish and Welsh) show greater resistance to Cannabis, also 3-5 times compared to people from other parts of Europe or Africa, and the patient concerned mother was Scottish, and this explains the high doses of THC required, higher than those reported in similar studies, but with people of diverse populations.
The authors conclude that the case reported is only one of many observed by Green Cross Society. With 70% of 4000 members suffering from chronic pain have been observed many times that people experience a significant reduction in pain using natural standardized cannabis. Often a better quality of life is achieved with the use of cannabis alone, or with a lower dose of opiates. The patient studied for about a year cannabis use only natural supplements, has recently undergone two additional surgeries to his back and hand and only used cannabis for pain postoperatively.

In Italy can be so treated very common genetic diseases like sickle cell anemia (thalassemia B) and cystic fibrosis. In this case even if the parents are only carriers the risk of generating a sick child, is 25%. Many rare diseases such as haemophilia, muscular dystrophies, spinal atrophy, fragile X syndrome, sickle cell disease or leukodystrophy recognize genetic alteration and therefore can be treated successfully. Today there are many diagnostic protocols for chromosomal disorders and diseases for at least 120 so-called ‘Monogenic’, that alterations to a single gene. According to European data collected to date (2002-2003) are done at least a thousand treatment courses a year, with over two thousand children born. Genetic diagnosis can be made at different levels: before or after fertilization of the oocyte or embryo before or after training.
“The preconception diagnosis is made by taking a structure of the egg cell is not essential for the fertilization process, called the first polar body, explains Dr. Greek Herman, Director of the Center for Reproductive Medicine European Hospital in Rome (ergreco1@virgilio.i) – This technique has the great advantage of ethics not to intervene on the embryo but the restriction can be handled only transmitted diseases female and requires very young women with a great heritage oocytes. Preimplantation diagnosis, it is now possible thanks to the repetition of the Constitutional Court in May 2009, is made by the embryo directly, taking a single cell, after practicing a small access road with laser equipment.
In this way not affecting the viability or the ability of installation. Genetic diagnosis is made in a period of approximately 24 hours and then the embryo is transferred into the uterus of healthy women in the fourth to fifth day of its development in a completely non-invasive. The success rate of pregnancy and is now very high, around 60-70%, while that of diagnostic error is practically zero (less than 2%). A major recent achievement is also the possibility of using this technique by patients who have certain cancers in hereditary transmission.

According to the statement, citing a report, “since March 28 this year, a total of 22,364 cases and 185 deaths were recorded in West Africa and Central Africa.
The report also highlighted a budget deficit of follow-up campaign of measles estimated 16 million U.S. dollars for Africa will endanger the health of children if donors and governments are not doing enough efforts to provide appropriate responses.
According to UN statistics, average 66 per cent of children in West Africa and Central Africa have received one dose of vaccine against measles by their first birthday via routine health services 2008.
The report of the WHO and UNICEF, however, indicated that efforts by governments in collaboration with partners have resulted in a reduction of 92 per cent of cases during the period 2000-2008 in the region.
He added that in West Africa and Central Africa, most countries had vaccinated nearly 80 per cent of their population through routine vaccination campaigns when he was recommended to vaccinate up to 95 percent.
The report dwelt on the great measles epidemic in Burkina Faso where we had identified more than 50,000 cases and 340 deaths and other statements of the disease in Benin, Guinea, Mali, Niger and Senegal with 68 deaths over 16,808 reported cases.
“2010 is a crucial year for achieving the UN goal of reducing measles mortality by 90 percent but may reverse if nothing is done to prevent the resurgence of the disease, prevent two specialized agencies of the UN

Organic products have their own deal with the annual growth rates of about 10%, while the market for functional foods, including yogurt and bifidus cereals, record an average increase of only 0.9% per year until ‘in 2010.
The outlook for 2012 will be difficult for manufacturers involved in the market for functional foods. According Xerfi, “activists involved in food supplements and food processing industries have to deal with the tightening of European regulations on nutrition and health.
The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has to make in the coming weeks, several opinions on the health claims for many products of the agribusiness industry. Danone has already withdrawn, Thursday, April 15, the demand for validation of Activia and Actimel from EFSA and declined to extol the benefits of both products in its advertisements.

I have developed a team of Australian scientists of the Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology University of Queensland, led by Mark Kendle. The patch is easy to use and only takes two minutes for the application. “With one-hundredth of the dose of conventional vaccine injection, we obtained a yield equivalent to the best,” said Dr. Kendle, which states that this product will be a great success. “We believe it has the potential to replace or at least minimize the use of needles and syringes. He adds: “The benefits are both physical and mental. First there is the phobia of needles, which suffers 10% of the population. And then the injury or contamination from needles. Just think that in Africa are performed around a billion vaccinations each year, the World Health Organization estimates that approximately 30% of them are unsafe because of cross-contamination. ”

Already in recent months a team of U.S. researchers at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta had developed a “patch of microneedles”, to alleviate the hardships caused by therapies for diabetes, making them more effective and less painful, but also by treatments disorders of the eyes. This patch slowly and painlessly inject drugs (or vaccines) through the skin with minimal discomfort through a series of tiny needles a few hundred microns in length. The researchers who conducted this study believed that the invention would have also brought the first self-administered influenza vaccine. “Our goal – summarizing the chief researcher, Mark Prausnitz – is in many cases eliminating the need for hypodermic needles, painless and replacing them with application used easily by the patient. Although the patch is probably beginning to be used only in medical facilities, our dream is to provide patches for self-administered vaccines, which also greatly increase immunization coverage, making the operation much easier, painless and economic. “
